After discussion and evaluation of existing Amec material AVC successfully proposed a slick, dynamic iPad App.
AVC liaised with Amec and agreed the key feature of the App was the incorporation of the 'Amec Magic Cube' - a physical cube which folds out to reveal various content.
The challenge to integrate this interactive element into the app resulted in the collaboration of AVC’s 3D Animation and Mobile App Development team for the first time to produce a 3D Cube, which could be manipulated by the user using a series of hand swipe and pinch gestures. This functionality ensured the user experience was as tactile as possible and replicated the interaction of the physical cube.
Other challenges included parallax scrolling animations, custom tab navigation and a cylindrical image carousel.
