The AVC team provided a package of support as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy. This included advice, mentoring, AV equipment and technical assistance.
AVC worked closely with the RGU team responsible for the AV element of the show to understand their vision for the event. The key aim was to deliver an event that felt like a professional fashion show, whilst still allowing the students to lead the event and develop their own skills. The characteristics of the venue also had to be taken into consideration as the fashion show was held in the RGU Business School atrium which had a large amount of natural light.
The final design incorporated a catwalk, black drapes, white trevira backdrop, appropriate lighting and large plasma screens. The models were filmed as they walked down the catwalk and this was relayed to the large plasma screens situated around the atrium. Lighting and music were used as a way of creating a captivating atmosphere.
