Your Wedding Exhibition

Overview

Your Wedding Exhibition began in 1995 when it was launched at Aberdeen’s Beach Ball Room.

It welcomed an average of 1,400 visitors and 70 exhibitors. When the AECC cancelled its annual wedding show, Directors of YWE, Simon M. Morgan, Brian Rae, Alan Rae and Fiona J. Morgan saw an opening in the market and came together to form YWE Ltd in 2006.

AVC has supported in the delivery of the marketing campaign around the Your Wedding Exhibition for a number of years and are very proud of the partnership which has seen the client receive global coverage.

 

PR & Brand Communication

AVC has worked with YWE to promote the Aberdeen based wedding show for many years. .

The task each year is to come up with something eye catching, new and innovative to launch the show.  For the January 2012 show launch the AVC team designed and produced a wedding dress made from the shows paper carrier bags! This unusual wedding dress captured the press’ attention and was featured in The Sun, local press and also on STV.

In the latest PR campaign for Your Wedding Exhibition, the AVC PR team had coordinated a Flash Mob at the local Bon Accord Shopping Centre, recruiting professional dancers to come along and roll out a practiced routine in front of an unexpected audience.

In order to maximise the impact, an AV technician was on hand to set up and run audiovisual equipment which includes a PA system with remote microphone and a 42" plasma screen which displayed a rolling presentation with key YWE meddages also created by the in house AVC creative team.

The event caused a real stir and rasied a high level of awareness of the event, receiving coverage in the local press.
