Aberdeen is a busy, cosmopolitan city and Energy capital of the work. Safety is a huge focus in the energy industry and this translates into Uniconn’s vision and strategy. This strategy seen the company receive a high level of return and supported with a larger marketing campaign with the AVC PR team, engaged the local community to maximise exposure.

PR & Brand Communications

AVC works on a PR retainer basis with Uniconn Integrated Services and facilitated a brand awareness campaign with Aberdeen City Council.

AVC arranged for Uniconn to be the sole sponsor of the city’s Crossing Patrollers, this saw the company logo and ‘Dedicated to Safety’ strapline featured on the jackets of 60 patrollers at various schools across Aberdeen. To further promote the company’s campaign, AVC’s PR team came up with the concept of running a ‘Crossing Patroller of the Year’ competition in association with the Evening Express and Aberdeen City and Shire Council. The Evening Express ran the competition over a two month campaign with extensive coverage, featuring the Uniconn logo in all coverage, and this was also featured on Uniconn’s social media platforms.

Website Design & Development

Uniconn required an online presence to showcase their service offerings and extensive product range.

As this was Uniconn’s first website, it was important for the in-house web development team to design a site that would provide a platform to attract new business as well as ensuring it moved quickly up the ranks on Google.

The design brief was to have a clean and minimal site, with particular emphasis on the corporate colours and Logo Device. Uniconn also requested that the product photography be utilised to its full potential throughout the site.

The website design team developed a site that heavily features Uniconn's product range, leading the visitor into an informative product directory, organised by category.  Each product is supported by new photography and associated descriptions.

Uniconn has since received extensive press attention, all of which is able to be highlighted within the news section. Additionally, the website was built so that it would enable the client to publish job vacancies in an instant, allowing prospective employees to apply online through a simple CV upload. All of these features are fully content managed with AVC’s own CMS.
