Environment

In 2007 AVC worked alongside the Business Environment Partnership (BEP) to try and improve the environmental management of the company as a whole.

The BEP provides assistance and advice to businesses throughout Scotland to identify the sources and costs of waste, and develop practical initiatives aimed at reducing waste, using resources efficiently and ultimately to help reduce AVC’s carbon footprint.

As a result, AVC have now implemented a number of recommendations given by the BEP including the creation of an environmental policy, establishing monitoring systems for electricity, water and gas, and educating staff on topical environmental issues.
