Double signing as AVC looks ahead to 2022 World Cup
Andy Moir, previously of D2 Marketing and The Big Partnership, is well placed to assist the company in its progression abroad, having gained a wealth of experience as a former Evening Express sports reporter, as well as handling PR for some of Scotland’s leading sporting talent. Andy’s main role at AVC will see him work alongside the sports production team to build relations in the Middle East. He has already secured leads with UAE professional football club Al Ahli via its Director of Football, Roy Aitken - former Aberdeen Football Club Manager and Scotland international. This will help the company develop its services in the run up to Qatar 2022 and beyond.
Angus Turner, also previously of D2 Marketing, joins AVC to support the team with copywriting and PR initially, but will also support the sports production team with filming and editing. This will further assist AVC’s sports team as the company looks to progress its presence in the Middle East.
Spencer Buchan, Managing Director of AVC Media Enterprises comments, “We are delighted to welcome both Andy and Angus to our team here at AVC. We have worked for several years to build up an established relationship with sporting bodies UEFA and FIFA, and are very proud of how far we have come - particularly with our reputation for the provision of first class match analysis, as well as filming, editing and delivery for industry-leading showreel/testimonials and sports productions.
“As we look to progress our sports production division, we have identified a wealth of opportunity for us in the Middle East, with the Qatar World Cup being a key event. By appointing Andy and Angus, not only are we supplementing our team with enthusiastic individuals, but we are also giving ourselves a realistic chance of developing an established presence in the Middle East. I am looking forward to their contributions towards our future at what is an exciting time for the company.”
