AVC Media Enterprises, the Aberdeen-based media and communications agency, announces today, (Monday, October 24th, 2011) that its Motion Graphics Designer, Michael Thomson joins only a handful of others in the UK to successfully achieve the Autodesk Certified Professional status for 3ds Max Design software.
The performance-based qualification, tested within one of the industry leading commercial 3D applications, aims to validate skills and knowledge, improve productivity, and enhances credibility of work produced. In order to qualify for the Certified Professional testing, candidates must first achieve Certified Associate status, further proving their knowledge of the software package.
Spencer Buchan, Director of AVC, says:
“Achieving the Autodesk accreditation is a fantastic achievement, benchmarking Michael’s technical proficiency within the 3ds Max software package, whilst reinforcing the high standard of work produced here at AVC.
“Over the past 5 years, AVC has experienced an increased demand for 3D animation and motion graphics as companies move to obtain competitive advantage and explore the use of such techniques across a suite of communication tools. To date, AVC has produced a wide portfolio of highly accurate visualisations for some of the most forward thinking global companies, including ConocoPhillips and Wood Group.
“3D motion graphics allow our clients to preview and experience plans, products and developments before they become a reality, improving their learning and comprehension compared to static text or graphics.
“An industry qualification, such as the Autodesk Professional Certification, is one way AVC can firmly establish its reputation as a leading provider of 3D animation services in the UK, with employees who have proved their experience and competence against a best practice set of criteria.
“We wholeheartedly congratulate Michael who has obtained this fantastic achievement after a period of sustained training and development”
