Aberdeen-based media and communications agency, AVC Media Enterprises, has been appointed as chief Public Relations consultant for Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd. Under the agreement, AVC will undertake a 12 month rolling contract.
The principle challenge for the communications agency is to build the profile of HIAL’s eleven Scottish airports, whilst strengthening the current position of Inverness Airport as the airport of choice for the Highlands. This will include the development of a high profile campaign, emphasising the role of Inverness Airport as a vital transport hub to the highlands with fundamental transport links to the Orkney and Shetland Isles and the Outer Hebrides.
Simone Barnett, Director, AVC Creative said, “AVC is very pleased to have secured the PR contract for Highlands and Islands Airports. It is essential that HIAL is recognised and valued for its vital services throughout Scotland. Having developed and grown the full service offering that our agency provides to companies across Scotland and internationally, we offer strong capabilities and expertise which will support HIAL’s communication objectives. This is an important client account for AVC to be involved with and we look forward to working with the HIAL team over the coming months.”
AVC are steadily building their client portfolio in the Highlands and Moray regions, having recently completed work with Landmark Park, Morrison Construction and continuing to drive the marketing communications of Forres based department store and garden centre, McKenzie and Cruickshank, including brand strategy, digital marketing and campaign development.
HIAL operates eleven airports across Scotland including Barra, Benbecula, Campbeltown, Dundee, Inverness, Islay, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Tiree and Wick.
