AVC's Media Production Team Firm Up Contracts Worth Over £250,000

AVC Media Enterprises has today announced details of key contract wins for its media production and 3D animation services, extending the company’s global production portfolio, with 6 projects totalling a value in excess of £250,000.

An increased demand for health, safety and 3D engineering productions by some of the largest global operators has seen the company confirm contracts with firms including, Statoil, AMEC, Maersk, PGS and Areva in recent weeks. These projects will see AVC staff travel around the world, including France, Gulf of Mexico, Australia, Norway, Italy and Angola, filming footage both on and offshore.

Spencer Buchan, Managing Director comments, “We have seen a significant shift in the focus of our media productions and 3D animations as operators and contractors respond to new legislation or company specific incidents. As these stringent regulations come into play companies cannot afford to let communication fall short and we are seeing more and more leaning towards detailed safety productions.

“This, coupled with an increased trend for productions to bolster tendering opportunities has meant we have been on the receiving end of a number of significant contracts. Companies are stepping up their game when it comes to tendering as it is vital that they showcase business in a manner that commands attention in what is an extremely competitive marketplace. By visually supporting a tender document with 3D animation and real time footage, companies are gaining the edge over those who aren’t investing in the initial tendering stages.”

“As companies also begin to focus on renewable technology initiatives, sophisticated animations, simulations and accurate visualisations are proving a necessity in detailing exactly how a planned workscope can be executed prior to any actual physical work taking place. This is an encouraging progression in the attitude towards, and the necessity for, realistic visualisations.”

With over 20 years experience in the oil, gas and engineering sectors, AVC's media production team continues to utilise the latest 3D techniques, coupling data from the latest CAD technologies, engineering drawings and photos with offshore surveys and existing engineering reports, to create detailed engineering visualisations based on real world scaling, with extreme accuracy.
