After a competitive tendering process, AVC Creative was awarded the contract for the design of a new website and tailored content management system for Camphill School Aberdeen in December 2009.

Camphillschool.org.uk has now been completed and launched by AVC, equipping the school with a fresh new online presence, effectively showcasing the school and providing vital resources for key stakeholders.

The new website will aim to increase awareness of Camphill School, both locally and nationally, building on its current reputation and attracting new pupils to the school. The website will also be used as an important tool to raise the profile of Camphill School as an innovator of child-centred projects, an active research community and a respected contributor to professional literature. In addition it will seek to strengthen, as well as build new relationships and links, within the local and business communities.

“The new site will act as an essential marketing tool for Camphill School Aberdeen as they move forward. The design reflects the warm and inviting nature of the school, while also portraying a modern and forward thinking image. While developing the website, we had to ensure it would appeal equally to the wide range of visitors and staff that use the site and this had to be considered at each key stage of the development process.”

Commenting on the new website, Daniel Harrison, a Co-Worker at Camphill School Aberdeen, said:

“This year we are celebrating the 70^th anniversary of the foundation of Camphill here in Aberdeen. In recent years there have been many significant developments at the school, and we realised it was time that we developed a web presence that reflected the life of the school now. With the help of the excellent team at AVC we have a site that will play a key role in the development of the Camphill School Aberdeen. Along with the story of Camphill School Aberdeen, the new website presents the innovative work currently being undertaken with our Nature Nurture Project, the St Andrew’s Project and our holistic pre-school education in Amber Kindergarten.”
