An experienced journalist, presenter, editor, producer and media relations advisor, Frank Gilfeather joined the AVC Team in July 2011 as Media Awareness and Media Response Trainer.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Frank Gilfeather is one of Scotland's best-known print and broadcast journalists.
As well as reporting for Sky Sports' Gillette Soccer Saturday programme, he is a football correspondent for a number of national newspapers, The Times, The Herald and the Sunday Herald among them. He also pens a weekly current affairs column for the Aberdeen Evening Express and writes features for the Daily Mail. In recent times, he has written two bes-selling books; Confessions of a Highland Hero, and Ross County: From Highland League to Hampden.
As a Media Awareness and Media Response Trainer at AVC Training, delegates on either course will benefit from Frank’s expertise, experience and insider industry knowledge. Training delegates in the art of dealing with and handling the media during times of crisis, Frank’s role will be to perfect delegates' skills to enable them to deal with the media efficiently and effectively.
Jill Massie, Training Co-ordinator at AVC, tells us more about this development “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Frank Gilfeather to AVC Training”
“We are continually looking to enhance our service offering, I have no doubt that Frank’s involvement will amplify and move AVC Training forward. The high quality of training being delivered by Frank can only be drawn from his wide-spanning experience gained from a prestigious and impressive career in media”
“To have someone who is still at the heart of the print and broadcast media and who has so much experience and expertise in this field is a major coup for AVC Training. Delegate’s on either course can expect to gain inside industry knowledge in journalist techniques, enabling them to confidently respond to the media and shape positive public reaction”.
Frank joins AVC Training at an exciting time, with a suite of Project Management courses now being offered to delegates. From the APM introductory course, through to the 5-day Prince2 Accredited Project Management course, we are able to meet individual needs and cater to different experience levels.
