PGAs of Europe - Website design and development

Brief

The PGAs of Europe commissioned AVC to create a new site for both professional and amateur golfers. The site was to be used as their main interactive and communication tool, sharing knowledge and gathering information about new learning initiatives across Europe. The site had to be dynamic, consistent with their existing branding and a cut above their current online offering.

Solution

Due to the varying content that incorporated video, flash, text and imagery, the site had the potential to be cluttered. However, by utilising a series of page templates the content could be organised and attractive, without compromise.

A comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) controls all the website content. The PGAe have the ability to administer, not only page content, but job vacancies, events, news, polls, golfing destinations, subscriptions, banner ads, members and partners areas. Within these sections, photography, downloadable documents and video content can also be easily uploaded for maximum flexibility.

Stewart Buchanan, Creative Director for AVC comments: “This contract is testament to our recent push towards online marketing techniques, as clients look to switch from more traditional, paper-based materials. We are extremely proud of the end result, which represents 33 member countries and provides users with a host of interactive features that results in a unique and engaging resource for golfing professionals and amateurs alike.”
