The Sky’s the Limit for AVC Staff

Nine brave employees will be taking to the skies on the 18th July in a bid to raise funds for Cornerstone, a leading Scottish charity and provider of care and support services for adults, children and young people with disabilities and other special needs. The team from Altens based AVC Media Enterprises, will be taking part in tandem sykydives at Glenrothes as part of Cornerstone’s 30:30 Challenge.

To celebrate 30 years of care and support, the charity is challenging people to help make a positive difference to people with disabilities throughout Scotland, by joining the 30:30 Challenge. It is a unique 30 themed fundraising challenge that encourages people to have fun, get involved and raise money to support Cornerstone’s work

Sarah Bremner, PR Account Manager at AVC and jump organiser, says, “The 30:30 challenge was fun to decide what we, as a team, could come up with in terms of fundraising. We thought, what’s the most exciting thing we can do as a collective?  We came up with a skydive!”

Sarah continues, “We are crossing our fingers for good weather conditions but unfortunately that is an unknown in Scotland. We are all inspired by the work of Cornerstone and want to raise as much funds as possible to enable the people Cornerstone supports to enjoy a valued life. We are hoping to raise in excess of £5,000.”

Jodie Dawson, Cornerstone's Communications Manager, commented, "We are delighted that AVC is taking part in our 30:30 Challenge.  The company have supported our charitable work for a number of years and their efforts will help us enable the people we support to enjoy a valued life in the community.  I wish them all the best on their challenge and thank the team on behalf of everyone at Cornerstone."
