Project: Scottish Enterprise DVD – Grampian Food and Drink
Summary: Scottish Enterprise Grampian had a need to use a DVD at trade and customer events that would highlight the excellence of the Grampian food and drink industry and commissioned AVC to produce this.

Background

Scottish Enterprise Grampian is the local economic development agency for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and part of Scottish Enterprise, Scotland's main economic, enterprise, innovation and investment agency responsible for stimulating sustainable growth of Scotland’s economy.

Scottish Enterprise Grampian had a need to use a DVD at trade and customer events that would highlight the excellence of the Grampian food and drink industry and commissioned AVC to produce this.

Summary 

The key aims were to emphasise the strength of the Grampian food base, raise awareness of the quality, diversity and vibrancy of the local industry, and highlight the strong supply chain which exists throughout Grampian.  The DVD itself had to be contemporary, with an honest and energetic feel, and visuals that would engage the viewers and tell the story in an informative and interesting way

Rather than use a voiceover, which could have distracted from the images, animated text was used, combined with contemporary music which had a ‘hint of Scottishness’ to appeal to the audience without dividing them.  Scottish Enterprise were delighted with the end product.
