Our Offshore and Security Services Manager, Craig Douglas, has almost 20 years experience in the offshore industry. Craig is vastly experienced in specialist offshore installation and maintenance of Satellite TV and Radio Entertainment systems, and hazardous area CCTV systems. Craig can also oversee the full project from the planning and design concepts, right through to installation.
With the digital switchover looming, it’s more important than ever to check that your systems are up to date and fully equipped for the changes coming into effect.
Our engineers can offer a fully visual and thorough health check of your systems, using specialised test equipment. The harsh offshore environment can affect equipment if not checked regularly – it is vital to examine systems for loose connections, equipment corrosion, moisture ingress at LNB, physical integrity and dish alignment. Dish alignment is more crucial than ever as Sky has recently moved some channels from the Astra Satellite to the Eurobird Satellite. As a result, if the dish on-board is not aligned correctly, many channels could experience interference or breakup completely.
Our technical team can correct any faults found whilst on location at an agreed additional cost, or they can make recommendations for more complex work, if required, to be undertaken at a later date.
