Summary: AVC established the multi-agency Stakeholders Marketing Communications Group to agree the development of the communications strategy for the campus and formulate messages and key roles.

Background

Inverness Campus is a multi-stakeholder project that aims to create a modern centre for education, research and innovation. The vision is a campus that will play a major role in the future of UHI Millennium Institute, the prospective University of the Highlands and Islands, and will allow a number of key education and research bodies to come together to form a unique learning environment in Inverness.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) took on the responsibility for encouraging stakeholder participation and driving the Inverness Campus project forward.

AVC was successful in a competitive tendering process and won the contract to develop a full Marketing Communications strategy for Inverness Campus to coincide with the submission of the first planning application. AVC was required to establish a Stakeholders Marketing Communications Group and support the HIE team to develop and implement the branding and marketing communications strategy that worked for all of the multi-partner agencies and communicated effectively with key influencers.

In addition, AVC was commissioned to manage the development and set-up of the Inverness Campus website and corporate identity that complimented all umbrella partner brands.

Summary 

AVC established the multi-agency Stakeholders Marketing Communications Group to agree the development of the communications strategy for the campus and formulate messages and key roles. AVC also provided support to the HIE Team members administering and chairing the group.

In close collaboration with the multi-agency stakeholders, AVC created a branding and marketing communications strategy, including managing the development of the brand and agreeing an internal and external marketing communications strategy for the project.  AVC managed the development and set-up of the Inverness Campus website (including extranet) in addition to the communications process during, and preparatory to, the statutory public consultations with communities, statutory stakeholders and other key influencers.
