Project: Prodrill - Brand Strategy and Development, PR and Digital Media

Prodrill Engineering Limited was established over 20 years ago to address the need for professional, highly qualified and experienced personnel for the international energy sector. 40% of their business is within the international market, with the objective for this to increase over the coming year.
In line with a planned Shareholder Buy-out away from Sovereign Oilfield Group Plc, Prodrill required the development of a full Marketing Communications strategy, incorporating brand and web development, PR and advertising. This strategy was fully designed and implemented by AVC.
After a detailed discovery, development and design process carried out by AVC, the result was a distinct and instantly recognisable brand identity for Prodrill which was rolled out across global advertising platforms, including online.
As part of the Sovereign Group, AVC had designed and created Prodrill’s website and wanted to build upon this successful project with a new design and enhanced functionality. The new website is built upon AVC’s CMS and includes custom built modules which power the jobs section, value added functionality such as targeted CV submission, and keyword tag clouds for easy access to relevant jobs on the website. AVC implemented features that enable new jobs to be published automatically from Prodrill’s in-house job management system.
The site was designed to be clean, corporate, easy to use and functional. The new colours introduced allowed the corporate nature of Prodrill’s business to shine. The clean white space allows the site to breathe and provide content in a structured manner. Flash animations and images were incorporated to add visual appeal, catch the eye and more importantly, allow easy access to content via icon led navigation. The whole website is fresh and modern, reflecting the refreshed brand identity.
AVC’s PR professionals worked closely with Prodrill t o develop a tailored Media and PR plan to deal with publicity surrounding its fast approaching Buy-out completion from Sovereign Oilfield Group. A series of press releases, specifically targeting business, trade and recruitment publications were produced to raise Prodrill’s profile and communicate the change of company ownership as the company began a new and very important chapter.
In order to maintain and continue to increase Prodrill’s media presence, AVC continues with a planned marketing strategy for the company targeting its international markets and producing features, advertorials and award nominations to raise the profile and support brand positioning .
