Summary

When Swellfix arrived in Aberdeen, it appointed AVC’s PR Partnership (as it was called at the time) to provide an ongoing public relations service, including the production of technical articles for international oil and gas publications. After six months, Swellfix asked AVC to take on its design and advertising work.

Background

AVC carefully combined prepared public relations activities with strategically planned adverts in leading trade media, and by doing so significantly raised the profile of Swellfix around the world.

At the time of Offshore Northern Seas 2008, Swellfix asked AVC to come up with a promotion to support its theme of ‘not all rubbers are created equal’. This led to AVC developing a fun advertising campaign for ONS designed to set the client apart from its competition and an online competition that highlighted the methodology behind Swellfix’s technology.

2009 saw AVC deliver an extensive branding project which involved raising the profile of Tendeka and its group companies at key events around the world. AVC devised, sourced, designed and delivered a high impact presence for Swellfix and latterly Tendeka at MEOS (Bahrain), MIOGE (Moscow) and Offshore Europe in Aberdeen.  These three exhibitions in key markets gave the group a platform to develop awareness and profile and AVC provided a range of joined up marketing solutions to maximise these opportunities.

Working closely with the Swellfix marketing team AVC provided a complete service from build up to breakdown in each location which allowed the team to focus on their clients and visitors at each event.     

AVC continues to provide a wide range of marketing services for Swellfix and previously organised a ministerial visit to mark the official opening of the client’s world HQ in Aberdeen.
