The Sports department traditionally specialises in the production of educational videos for the football industry. The department has been active within this sector for over 20 years and have many long standing clients due to the exceptional service and attention to detail that the team provides. In more recent years, the solutions required by clients have been more technology based and the team now provide a number of communication and analysis solutions focussing more on the company’s digital expertise. The Sports department has recently launched a new football coaching software, TactX, in association with UEFA Training Ground. TactX is a revolutionary software which is set to create the largest network of coaches in the world.
TactX succeeds AVC’s previous software TactFOOT, which was used by UEFA after it was developed in 1998. TactX builds upon the concept of TactFOOT, however, takes this to a new level, with animation based on motion capture of professional football players.
TactX aims to allow coaches to simply in 2D, whilst having the drills instantly available in 3D animation. The 3D animation allows coaches to communicate with ease to players and coaches of all different ages, and can overcome language barriers. With UEFA’s support, TactX is available to coaches at a greatly subsidised price, from 10 Euros per month, and so coupled with its ease of use it is ideal for all level of coaches from grassroots to elite.
TactX is solely available through UEFA.com Training Ground and allows coaches to communicate worldwide through the social network TactX Board. As part of the association with UEFA, TactX is being provided to all the European National Associations. These associations will join a growing group of coaches, players and clubs who are already participating in what should be the largest coaches’ community in the world.
