Background

In partnership with Aberdeen based Proactive Employment Lawyers, AVC developed an Employment Law update course designed to allow delegates to get to grip with new legal issues that may affect your business.

Summary

The course was held in AVC’s custom built Business Centre in October, and was delivered by Proactive Employment Lawyers Partner, David Christie, an experienced management trainer and conference speaker.

This session, aimed at HR professionals of all levels, focused on a variety of topical issues that were currently affecting, or may affect, the workplace:

• The Equality Bill
• Agency workers regulations
• The HR and Employment Law implications of dealing with the Swine Flu Pandemic
• The ACAS Code 6 months on
• The dangers of Facebook
• Legislative update
• Case law round up

The session was a great success, so much so, that twice yearly updates are now scheduled into AVC’s Training calendar, which will each focus on topical issues and updates.
